Of late, the retail industry is evolving rapidly as the technology innovations are changing the nature of sales and shopping. One such transformation is where retailers are merging their brick-and-mortar and e-commerce systems to create a seamless customer experience across all channels. Set against this backdrop is the Boston-based Springboard Retail that provides cloud retail management platform and Mobile Point of Sale (POS) solution that includes inventory management and CRM software. “We offer the tools that help retailers compete in today’s omni-channel retail environment by driving sales, improving efficiency, and lowering operating costs across the retail enterprise,” informs Gordon Russell, CEO and Founder, Springboard Retail.

Established in 2011, Springboard Retail is a cloud-based POS and retail management solution provider. Springboard offers retailers complete control over their business and productivity with its inventory balancing across stores and online, with efficient custom reporting, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), portability across platforms and devices. “Acknowledged for providing the ability to share real time inventory across all stores, our team works to make implementing POS software easy for the customers,” states Russell.

Springboard Retail, the company’s robust cloud POS and retail management system, increases profits and manages the store effectively. The company’s cloud POS is used to manage multi-channel and handle inventory control, as well as reporting all in real-time. “The customers have the ability to see the operations performed at the sales level,” says Russell. The comprehensive solution is designed to provide retailers with real-time data and equip them with tools to turn information into incremental sales. Springboard can run on any modern browser on all devices, including touch-screen systems, PCs, and Macs. “Our sophisticated POS system analyzes customer’s preferences and purchase history to help the sales staff better assist customers,” delineates Russell.
In addition, customers can also leverage a variety of features within thePOS system, including item entry via scan, customer creation, sales representative tracking, multi-store inventory research, gift card issuance and redemption, and sales tax calculation. “Our system provides retailers better control over sales and profitability by placing actionable real-time data in the hands of every person who needs it—from the C-suite to the store floor,” states Russell.

Moving towards a “self-onboarding” model for retailers, the company provided Mobile POS (mPOS) with Springboard system to engage, regain valuable square footage, and influence buying behavior at the point of decision. Recently, Springboard implemented its mPOS solution for In the Pink retailer to enhance their customer’s sales. In span of four months, the client increased their net sales by 23.2 percent, unit sales by 18.4 percent and overall transactions at the store by 22 percent. “Not only did we instantly see an increase in sales and transactions, we also saw that we improved the store environment and customer experience,” notes Russell. The Mobile POS with a customer dashboard helped the client increase sales and the real-time inventory management implemented provided visibility across the retail enterprise.

Our solutions are designed by retailers for retailers

“Our solutions are designed by retailers for retailers. Being retailers ourselves, we understand the challenges in using current systems and design flexible solutions for other retailers,” exclaims Russell. “We're consuming our own product every day, and it's a unique position for a software company to be in.” This year, the company plans to extend its partnerships in commerce for the retail industry, implementing the sales strategy and also further collaborate with other major e-commerce platforms
